About Me:

Daniel Correa
For Orange City Council

Planner, Community Leader & Preservationist

I was born here in Orange at St. Joseph's Hospital and grew up in Santa Ana. My Father was from Mexico and was a US Chief Petty Officer in WWII. My Mother was born here and was fluent in three languages. I am fluent in two.

I attended both parochial and public schools and have attained four degrees including Sports Medicine and Nutrition, Urban Planning and two in Public Administration. I have dedicated my life to public service.

I've been a Park Ranger, Code Enforcement Officer, Building and Safety Inspector, a Peace Officer and a California State Investigator. Later in my career I was a City Urban Planner, and have lived in Orange for some 15 years.

For nearly half of that, I have served as a Planning Commissioner here in Orange. I am very rooted in this area and plan to continue my service to my community.
My plan starts with elevating the economy of Orange.

As a Planning Commissioner, I approved
the restoration of significant projects in Orange:

Urth Cafe - sw corner of Chapman & the Plaza Square  -- Snooze an AM Eatery - sw corner of Chapman & Lemon

As a Community Leader, I volunteer at our
Historic American Legion Hall and work with Veteran's Programs in Orange:

Our 1928 Historic American Legion Hall -- The American Legion Hall - S. Lemon St.

As a Preservationist, I saved rails from our Historic Red Car Station and
I was the only no vote of 15 Council and Commissioners on the Killefer School Project:

Century old rails of the Red Cars for display -- The Iconic Killefer School in Cypress Barrio.
